A Note from our Pastor

By | November 18, 2010

Bro. Lyn Means, Ann, Ernest and James Means wish to send a big “Thank You” to First Baptist Church for the warm welcome you have extended to us.  Although Oct. 17th was our first “official” Sunday, we would like to recognize your many kindnesses prior to that day.

On Sept. 19th. we came in view of a call.  At the end of the day we had a real peace about coming here and believed that God had done something very special among us.

During the weeks prior to Oct. 17th., we have spent some good times with you.  We have been present for two high school football games and pre-game meals; a fifth quarter: an afternoon in the home of church members; an away girls volleyball game; a birthday gathering; conference call and e-mails.

We continue to covet your prayers for us as we serve our Lord through First Baptist Church.  We truly believe with God””s help and your help, together we can be a winning team for the glory of God.

Let me briefly mention a special “Thank You” to the church family for the money given to help with our moving expenses; for the volunteers who have helped us move to Three Rivers; for the food “pounding”; and for the NAS Bible presented to the pastor on Sunday  October 17th.  You are a very special group of Christ””s disciples.

God Bless you,

Bro. Lyn Means
